Week three found us in beautiful Arivaca, Arizona. The community couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful!
AND on our last two days of filming - an extreme GEOMAGNECTIC STORM hit earth! What an interesting coincidence, since the world of Kate Hugo takes place after a massive coronal mass ejection wipes out the electrical grid and technology all over the world!
DAY 11 of filming: Arivaca residents were gracious enough to volunteer their time as background extras! Watch for them in the scene where Daphne hears about a murder…

DAY 13: Out and about in the rugged brush of an Arivaca wash. First Camera Assistant Katie Burkholder makes sure everything is in focus.

DAY 15: Time to make your own shade! The weather was gorgeous, but it was still HOT in the sun. Script Supervisor Tiphani Law finds a creative solution to shade herself.

DAY 16: OUR FINAL DAY OF FILMING! Arivaca residents came out in force to support us by volunteering as background extras and making our last shots PERFECT!

Now comes POST-PRODUCTION! Video editing, sound design, color grading, visual effects, music composition, title design and more…and guess what? We need your help!
