We’re getting closer and closer Subscriber First Name!

We held our first test screening on Sunday, August 2nd at the Roadhouse Theaters.

We invited 11 people to watch Kate Hugo: Murder After Mayhem and provide feedback on how we can make the film even better. Questionnaires were provided which covered topics like Story & Pacing, Characters & Performance, Direction & Production and Emotional Impact.

We’re now evaluating the film and determining ways to incorporate some of the common suggestions for improvement.

Test screening is an important part of post-production and involves showing an unfinished version of a film to a selected audience with the purpose of gathering feedback before the movie’s final cut and public release. It can range from tweaking certain scenes for better clarity or pacing, to identifying plot holes that may confuse viewers.

We’ve entered two film festivals so far…

The Lady Filmmakers Festival in Beverly Hills - the notification date is August 16th.

and

The Austin Film Festival in Austin, Texas - the notification date is September 23rd.

There are a couple more festivals on the horizon we have our eyes on. So, say a prayer, cross your fingers or do a dance that we not only are accepted, but win some awards!
